Daily Brief

Memories are all around her as Liza Miller (Sutton Foster) tries to move on after last season’s finale, but but is haunted by the relationships she’s damaged and the people she’s betrayed in TV Land’s teaser for season four of Younger.

The promo shows her walking the street of Brooklyn at night, as pivotal moments from the past three seasons appear reflected in the environment around her as she recalls the events. Her journey culminates in an unexpected encounter with Kelsey (Hilary Duff).

The series follows single mom Liza, 40, who passes herself off as 26 when re-entering the working world.

TV Land also released key art for season four, featuring extreme closeups of the cast to give a sense of the intimacy and raw emotion reflective of each character’s state in the aftermath of Liza’s actions and betrayal—from Josh and Kelsey’s heartbreak and apprehension, through Liza’s acceptance and determination, to the lightheartedness of Maggie and Diana’s wit and sarcasm.

The images are punctuated by direct quotes pulled from dialog in the show that speak to the characters’ storylines, but also seem to be addressing the viewer, according to TV Land.

Season four of Younger premieres Wednesday, June 28 at 10 p.m.

Such a fun project to work on with Spike over the past three months, and it's so rewarding to feel the love. And the premiere last night kicked off the new season with a bang.

LIP SYNC BATTLE RETURNS

The return of Lip Sync Battle Season 3 is more epic than ever. Framework Studio has been working with Spike to create the most epic promo season trailer the world has ever seen. It's been an amazing collaboration between both teams to bring performance, creative, and inspiration from the original music video. Lips Sync Battle is known for it's inventive ways of bringing music to life. Over the seasons the sets have gone bigger and the performances continue to grow in scale.

This season of Lips Sync Battle (LSB) is just around the corner so let's take a look at how our team got us to this amazing look and creative for Spike. Framework creative worked on several concepts and the idea of creating an epic music video with all the stars and hosts started us running. We wanted to have an amazing look for the final piece and referenced still photography and 80's style. Production team jumped in full force in order to start shooting alongside Spikes own rigorous and exciting schedule for LSB. Celebrities loved getting into the red jacket and putting on some amazing moves. Orange is the New Black ladies especially went all out for both their LSB and our trailer performances. Congrats to Uzo on her Emmy Award and all the other ladies for their nominations.

A core part of the shoot was finding the right city setting to allow for a short shoot window with LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen's intense schedules. The creative was laid out to bring in as many Easter eggs as possible to the finished piece. From iconic outfits to setting and location Framework built in amazing art and wardrobe to the trailer. The Lip Sync Battle dancers were a major part to bring in the choreography and give us an amazing dance battle sequence.

Several weekends of shoots and fast setups with a lot of moving parts has pushed our team to find creative means to capture everything for the final piece. Everyone on set had an amazing time becoming a part of this iconic video. The amount of love and dedication to music, performance, and dance that is seen in this LSB Season 3 Trailer gets the party started for the new season.

STRUT | PROMAX

Frameworks was featured in part with the upcoming Whoopi Goldberg series STRUT. The amazing models joined forces with Framework to create a style and look in camera for the series promos.

Framework takes over Comic Con 2016

Comedy Central and Chris Distefano

San Diego is invaded by the best and most enjoyable fans every year for Comic Con. This year Framework's team brought together Comedy Central, Doritos, Burger King and Geico in a hilarious 2 day shoot with Chris Distefano.

Chris had a blast talking with fans on the streets and becoming a part of the con. Chris even got into character as a wizard and more for our on set shoot.

TruTV and Impractical Jokers

Our team also joined forces with Impractical Jokers and TruTV to bring a little fun and chaos to the streets of San Diego. Like the antics that Jared Leto got up to on the set of Suicide Squad we followed our 'jokers' as they pulled pranks on cosplayers. The search for Harley began with a rough start for our host but surprised us like 5000 volts to the chest.See how Harley put the moves on Joker and more below.

ADWEEK - DODGE COMMERCIAL

The Framework team had the great pleasure to work with comedian Jeff Ross in collaboration with Comedy Central and Dodge  in creating a drive by roasting through Los Angeles. Thanks to Adweek for writing a special feature about the spot and some quotes from our Viacom clients.

Many brands would want to stay clear of comedian Jeff Ross's no-holds-barred roasts for Comedy Central, but not Dodge.

The company is teaming up with Ross—known as Comedy Central's "Roastmaster General"—for two branded content spots airing on the network this week, promoting his upcoming Comedy Central event special, Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle, and the Dodge Challenger. The spots were produced and shot by Viacom Velocity, Viacom's branded content division.

In the first spot, debuting today, Ross and Roast Battle referee Brian Moses drive a Dodge Challenger around L.A.'s Sunset Strip, as Ross uses a bullhorn to roast passerby. The spot promotes the July 28 debut of Roast Battle, which is a four-night, bracket-style insult comedy event in which comedians trade insults one-on-one, with celebrity judges deciding who advances to the next round. The show, hosted by Ross, culminates in a live championship finale on July 31.

PROMAX Nomination

Framework Is honored to have our TRAINWRECK/UNREAL Promo Campaign for Lifetime nominated for this year’s PROMAX Awards.

This was our first-ever collaboration with Lifetime Creative Director Pauline McAuley, and we also worked closely with the Universal Pictures Media Promotions Group including Annah Zafrani, Tara Martino, and Dana Buckley.   Shooting with Amy Schumer and her team was a blast, and we’re proud to be the agency asked to bring UnReal and Trainwreck together for such a memorable campaign.

Happy Birthday Dr. Dre

It was a lifelong dream to work with one of the most important music influencers of all time.

From Death Row to Aftermath and Tupac to Eminem, Dr. Dre knows how to produce superstars.  When Framework was hired to handle a publicity shoot for the announcement of the feature Straight Outta Compton, the movie, it was surreal for us.  We met Dr. Dre and worked with him two days after he sold Beats and you could see the smile on his face.

Straight Outta Compton was a two year long project for Framework Studio.  It started with the publicity shoot and with unprecedented access to the cast, the producers, the director and the set.  SOC as we call it has a special place in our hearts.  We remember Eazy-E with the highest respect, we work with Cube on a regular basis; but it is Dre, the man of mystery, who continues to inspire us creatively, musically and now technologically.

Today on Dr. Dre’s birthday we want to share our Straight Outta Compton home entertainment spots that close out a two year adventure for Framework.  Happy Birthday Dre.

ASPEN HIGHS

A WEEK IN ASPEN

Looking back on our first project this year brings up a gratifying feeling that comes after hard work has paid off, and we realize it was also just a really fun time. 

Back in January, our shop opened its doors after the holidays with a week-long assignment in Aspen. 

We collaborated with Viacom's brand integration team to produce two spots celebrating Aspen Gay Ski week that aired during LOGO'S New Now Next Honors Awards. 

The first spot, sponsored by CoverGirl, had us hitting the snow covered slopes and shooting at a gorgeous ski lodge. 

The second spot was a FIAT integration, that involved us driving along the Rocky Mountains' most picturesque roads. 

Our hotel's proximity to the charming down town gave us opportunity to try some outstanding cuisine.  For a moment, we were absorbed in the magic of this winter wonderland and forgot that we are on the clock. Serendipitously, our flights home were canceled due to a storm, forcing us to prolong our stay in beautiful Colorado. Our plan was to catch a flight from Denver.  That drive gave us an extended glimpse of the stunning passes and high-plateus of the frosty country side. 

Work trips are typically so busy and hectic, leaving little to no time for adventure.  This project was a team bonding, unforgettable experience!

Framework celebrates a phenomenal piece of filmmaking with our friends at Universal Pictures, all their partner networks and agencies. “Straight Outta Compton” is a compelling, timely, and important story: an unflinching look at a controversial and culture-shifting group of extremely talented young artists. The legacy of N.W.A and their influence on music and society speaks for itself through this film.
